Agnetha Faltskog
Although she has made a name for herself a solo performer within Sweden, Agnetha Faltskog will forever be best known for being one of the members of 'ABBA' an iconic and commercially successful and internationally adored pop acts ever. At the age of 15, after leaving school Agnetha started singing with Bernt Engelhardt's band soon gaining fans. The singer was signed to a record deal with Enghardt. Her debut album charted in Sweden. Bjornulvaeus, whom she later got married to she became her spouse as she joined ABBA. ABBA was one of greatest pop acts in the entire world during the time period of 8 years. The group received the gold and platinum awards throughout all over the world. After ABBA she released 3 albums "Wrap Your Arms Around Me', Eyes of a Woman as well as I Stand Alone'. Each of them was hugely successful in Sweden. They also became popular across Europe. However, they did not make a huge impact on the American scene. In the '80s, ABBA's music was the topic of a show on jukeboxes called 'Mamma Mia!'. The singer came out of retirement to record her first album 'My Coloring Book' which peaked at eleven at the top of U.K. chart. Her album has been met with a positive reception to her new album "A.'
