Nathalie Emmanuel
Nathalie Emmanuel, a British actor who is best known for her part as Missandei (HBO's fantasy series Game of Thrones) from 2011 to 2019 She was also the first British actress. Emmanuel was born and lived in Southend-on-the-Sea in Essex's famous seaside town She has always been interested in performing. She was noticed by her mother, and when young Nathalie was just three years old, parents began enrolling her in performing, singing and dancing classes. Emmanuel was a talented performer, and she developed quickly. In the latter half in the 90s, she was a the role of a young Nala in "The Lion King," the West End musical which has received acclaim. Emmanuel tried out for roles on the film industry and on television while she was just a teenager. Her first breakthrough came in 2007, when she was chosen to play Sasha Valentine, a British soap-opera "Hollyoaks", (Channel 4 95-). Emmanuel performed the part for four seasons before leaving the series in 2010. Her next breakthrough occurred three years later when she was cast as Missandei, the interpreter for the character Daenerys Targaryen (portrayed by Emilia Clarke), on HBO's "Game of Thrones." Emmanuel went on to be a part of every seasons of "Game of Thrones"" until the finale of the show which aired in May of 2019.
